about this server...

In December, 1994, a certain individual (call him Evan), who was clearly in desparate need of a real life, decided to spend his Christmas vacation learning about this new thing called the World Wide Web (well...it was new in 1994). I had a hunch it might be fun, and potentially useful. A few years later, and I'm still playing with the Web.

 This server - (canuck.dnr.cornell.edu) - is my primary web server. While the Department of Natural Resources has an "official" website, and server, I'm somewhat inclined to follow my own path in this regard, and so am using this site instead.

 This website is based entirely on copy-lefted OpenSource software (GNU/Linux, Apache, PHP & Perl, MySQL...your basic LAMP setup with a few extra bits chucked in).
